Study on the spatio-temporal patterns of urban air pollution and its spatial mismatch with air pollutant emissions in the Yellow River Basin, China

Abstract In order to promote the precise governance of air pollution in Yellow River Basin(YRB), it is great significance reveal spatio-temporal patterns urban basin and its spatial mismatch characteristics with pollutant emissions. Based on autocorrelation model model, this paper selected pollution-related monitoring data from 69 cities YRB 2015 2020 as samples, used ArcGIS, Stata, GeoDa other softwares analyze emissions YRB. The results showed that: (1) Temporally, average annual Air Quality Index (AQI) values ranged 78.22 97.08 2015–2020, among which, AQI upper, middle lower reaches decreased 79.86, 89.23 122.14 66.87,82.98 98.43 2020. (2) Spatially, there were obvious differences YRB, was roughly distributed a geographical gradient upper < reaches, significant correlations pollution, mainly showing ‘high-high’ ‘low-low’ aggregating characteristics. Among them, had formed concentrated ‘high zone’. (3) There an between which such Wuhai, Zibo, Shizuishan, Yangquan, Taiyuan, Datong, Jiyuan, Kaifeng, Puyang Xi’an. (4) To improve overall situation proposed that difference needs be fully considered, following principle ‘focused treatment, gradual progress, enhanced prevention’, according emissions, necessary build ‘differentiated’ strategy system for basin, ‘tailored local conditions categorized measures’.
